Abstract

ViracorIBT is a CLIA-certified, molecular and immunological diagnostics laboratory with approximately 16,000 sq. ft. of laboratory space located in Lee’s Summit, MO (within the Kansas City metropolitan area). An additional 4,000 sq. ft. of research and development laboratory space is located directly adjacent to the clinical laboratory facility. ViracorIBT’s expertise in molecular diagnostics is focused on the detection and quantification of viral causes of human disease. A dedicated research and development team has extensive experience and strong capabilities in the design, development, optimization and validation of real-time, quantitative PCR assays. Fully automated extraction methods, as well as advanced robotics for precision analysis, are used in the processing of both clinical and research samples. ViracorIBT also has significant expertise in the fields of immunology and allergy testing. Our capabilities in these fields include antibody detection, with a specific emphasis in detection and quantification of IgE, antigen detection and cell-mediated immunity methods. As with molecular diagnostics, experienced research and development teams design, develop, optimize and validate assays on a broad array of platforms (ELISA, MSD, ImmunoCAP, flow cytometry) for use in both clinical and contract testing caseloads. ViracorIBT has a dedicated team of scientists, program managers, program coordinators, operations managers, contract specialists and business development leaders dedicated to provide superior service and results to all aspects of our contract-testing work with the Immune Tolerance Network.
